Mistwood Golf Course, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Romeoville, Illinois.

Mistwood first opened for play in 1999. This links style par 72 course was designed by Raymond Hearn.

Mistwood plays to 6,727 yards. The course rating is 72.1 and the slope rating is 132.

Mistwood Golf Club, owned by Jim McWethy, is rated Five Stars by Chicagoland Golf and is the home of the Illinois Women's Open State Championship.

Mistwood Golf Club has added three new revetted sod wall bunkers to its Ray Hearn "upland links" design.

Sod wall bunkers appear frequently on designs in Scotland, Ireland and England. By stacking chunks of sod in a near-vertical wall, designers are able to incorporate a deep greenside bunker that requires a player to negotiate a shot almost straight up in the air to put his ball on the putting surface.

Perhaps the most famous bunker of this type is the Road Bunker on the left side of the green on the 17th hole at the Old Course at St. Andrews.

Mistwood, is using natural bluegrass sod in the new bunkers, which appear on hole numbers 3, 5, and 12.
